About Elijah

Welcome to Chrysalis Haven, where caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies within the protection of their chrysalis—a nurturing space for transgender students embracing their authentic journey.

My transformation began early. At 14, I embraced my true self as Elijah, finding strength through online communities when my family couldn't understand. High school became my canvas for authentic living, where as varsity softball captain at Morris Academy, I discovered leadership beyond challenges. The diamond became my sanctuary—a place to excel while forming bonds with teammates who truly see me.

This journey ignited my passion to help others navigate their own paths. Through peer mentoring and community service, I've found my purpose. As I prepare to study Social Work and Psychology at Mercy University, I'm building a foundation dedicated to creating the same safe haven for others that I once desperately needed.
